Hey there, History Loggers. Sorry for missing last weeks post but I was crazy busy getting things ready for the Bill Cosby show! I hope you were able to make it to the show. It was wild!

Speaking of entertainment, there's a lot of great venues for entertainment around Tacoma. Nearby Metronome Cafe often has live bands playing. If you're part of the over 21 crowd, check out Jazzbones or Chopstix (which moved to downtown from 6th Ave!). Plus, there's always great entertainment happening around campus from campus films to open mic nights and poetry readings.

This Day In History
-1113: Pope Paschal II sanctions the establishment of the Hospitallers.
-1933: Giuseppe Zangara attempts to assassinate FDR but ends up killing Chicago mayor Anton J. Chermak
-1989: Soviet Union officially announces that all soldiers have left Afghanistan
